Es sollte in Reihe mit Ihrem Destillationsauslass platziert werden, sodass die Destillattropfen direkt in den höchsten Sammelkegel fallen. Aber nur in Reihe platziert, NACHDEM Sie Ihre Vorschüsse gesammelt haben. Dann legen Sie Ihr Alcometer vorsichtig in das untere Kegelstück (achten Sie darauf, es nicht ohne Flüssigkeit/Destillat hineinfallen zu lassen, da Alcometer zerbrechlich sind).
